Knowledge sharing

Computers and the Internet opened the way for practically barrier free share of information, news, opinions and so on. However the barriers are only lifted for text. If we somebody wants to share knowledge in a more subtle way the barriers are still considerable for most of us. E..g Wikipedia  gives you the algorithm of how to define the day of week but doesn't give you a program to calculate it. For some people it will be more useful. In an ideal word you would have access not only to the algorithm but also to the application and the code which implements it. However coding is not so easy and is not the only way to implement algorithm or represent knowledge. A good knowledge sharing system would allow sharing text, and applications. The applications could be implemented in code, decision tables, decision trees or influence diagrams, rules, bayesian networks, or other tools. Such a system would raise knowledge sharing to a new level.
